For the price of roughly one year of gym membership you get a quality product that will last you (probably) a lot longer than a single year at the gym. I was looking for a home workout installation that looks great in the living room. Having a titan pull up bar or soemthing like that is ugly and limited in functionality. With this, I don't have to spend the time and energy to go to the gym. And quickly "grease the groove" whenever I walk past the stall bars. It's a significant time saver.
For calisthenics, doing pulls and rows. hangs and dips is essential. For martial artists. Having a place to do shoulder, spine and leg mobility is also a must. Putting your leg up a rung to stretch, leaning your hands to stretch the back, etc. This is all essential work.
In other words, I think training these things at home is incomplete without something like the nalamoves stall bars. Moreover. If you have kids. These stall bars double as a jungle gym.
When using the product, the extension sometimes creaks, and for first use. This was to be expected. After all. Wood on wood and wood on masonry friction needs time to settle in. I have full confidence in its long term strength and durability after using the stall bars for a few days, because they no longer creak after settling in.
In terms of installation, its not that complicated. But spacing out the screws on the mounting boards for optimal strength for your set up is necessary. As the back boards aren't pre drilled, you have flexibility on where to put your mounting screws. For me, that means finding out which configuration of the eight screws would hold up optimally (since I'm 94kg, i had to make sure these bars don't come tumbling down).
The plugs provided are 8 mm diameter and quite deep. This gives confidence that these plugs will hold strong.
One comment I have to make is that the screws provided all have a shoulder. The wood of the mounting boards is such that you can't just screw the shoulder of the 80mm screws into the wood, you have to use a countersink drillbit to do that. So, you should keep that in mind.
I am very happy I made this purchase. I hope it will last me many many years.
